A sponsored program’s zero-dollar price does not include every prescription.

We checked Teladoc Health’s public program and billing information on September 20, 2026. This review separates published terms from details that still require a personal quote; availability and offers can change.

The quick read

  • A sponsored program’s zero-dollar price does not include every prescription.
  • The weight-management page advertises no program cost for eligible sponsored members. The GLP-1 page separately explains that medication coverage varies by plan and that patients may have out-of-pocket costs or self-pay options. A $0 program benefit is therefore not a promise of free medication.
  • Does my sponsored program include prescribing visits, and which engagement requirements and pharmacy costs apply to my coverage?

The care model

Teladoc’s weight-management program describes coaching, digital tools and a connected scale through eligible employers or health plans. Its GLP-1 page says prescribing access depends on the sponsor offering a program with care-provider visits, followed by an individual clinical assessment. Not every Teladoc program includes that access.

Published price and what it covers

The weight-management page advertises no program cost for eligible sponsored members. The GLP-1 page separately explains that medication coverage varies by plan and that patients may have out-of-pocket costs or self-pay options. A $0 program benefit is therefore not a promise of free medication.

Compare the amount due today and the recurring charge over the same period. Include care, medication, laboratory work and shipping wherever they are separate. Our GLP-1 cost guide explains that calculation.

Renewal, cancellation and open questions

The GLP-1 page says some plans require participation in specified activities to maintain prescription coverage. We did not establish one universal participation, appointment-cancellation or coverage rule. Check the requirements shown for your benefit and what happens if your employment or health plan changes.

What matters when comparing this service

A sponsored care program can remove a clinical-support expense while leaving a substantial pharmacy bill. Compare the actual benefits available to you, including authorization assistance and continuing appointments. Program eligibility, clinical suitability and insurance approval are separate decisions that can produce different outcomes.

A question to take to the provider

Does my sponsored program include prescribing visits, and which engagement requirements and pharmacy costs apply to my coverage?

Ask who prescribes, which pharmacy dispenses, and how to contact the clinical team between appointments. Request the payment and cancellation terms in writing. Our provider verification guide can help you check those responsibilities before paying.

Evidence and another useful comparison

This is research into public offers, not a patient-experience review. We have not enrolled, received treatment or independently measured service quality. Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved, and evidence for an approved product does not automatically establish equivalent results for another formulation. Read our formulation guide and discuss suitability with a licensed clinician.

For another care or payment model, see our MDLive review. You can also search the provider directory. The CoreAge Rx review covers our featured commercial partner; that placement does not establish clinical superiority.
